About Us
Formed in 2014, The Hornsby Golden Oldies Rugby Union Club (aka The Busted Lions) is a social rugby club for players over the age of 35 located in the Hornsby Shire of Sydney.
The modified laws of Golden Oldies presents a great opportunity for older players to don their boots once again and have a few fun games throughout the year (whilst still being able to go to work the next day!).
The club welcomes players of all types - whether you are continuing a distinguished career, rekindling an old one or perhaps new to the game and keen to have a go!
We look to make every outing fun and enjoy a number of social activities throughout the season (and off season as well!)

The Hornsby Golden Oldies welcomes players of all types to the club (as long as you are over the age of 35!) - registration is an annual payment and inclusive of player insurance which is mandatory for Golden Oldies games.

The Golden Oldies Laws embody and reflect the spirit of Golden Oldies Rugby. The aim of the Laws and its variations provide a less competitive version of the game in which player enjoyment is maximised and the possibility of injury is minimised.
